Is there a program or website that I can use at no charge?

I know that there some kind of website I think that allows you to do it because the email receiver would have to log into the website to read it. I read about this in a compouter magazine a couple months ago but forgot to keep the article. D'OH

if you have an outlook you can.
click on tools,
then options
on preferences, click email options, then tracking options,
- for all messages i sent, request - check the box for read receipt

It depends on which program you use for your email. I use Eudora. There is an icon that I can click on. However there is also a way to prevent your computer from emailing the receipt back. I have this checked on my preferences never to allow an receipt to be sent back to the requesting person. I don't think it's anyones business when I read or whether I read their email. If however I don't respond and they write and ask me if I received it I will tell them.

You have to have an e-mail program, like eudora, outlook, etc. I don't think it can be done from an internet based e-mail program.
