It is caused by decaying matter found in boglands, marshes etc., the gases rise and because of the chemical properties present, they give off a luminous and spooky looking vapour.
I've not seen a photo of one but I have a camera and I think I'll go to my nearest bog straight away!

Yes. It's just another name for "swamp gas" which is naturally occurring methane gas which escapes from the decaying stuff in the swamp.

Its a dust storm caused by a small vortex (like a minature whirlwind). I don't have a photo though.
