No, the top of the backboard is NOT out of bounds. The ball is considered dead should it hit the timeclock or the standard.

The top is NOT out of bounds! Sheesh! The shot clock is out of bounds, and so is the back of the backboard, but not the top.

Only if the ball goes over the top. If it hits the top of the backboard it's still in play, but if it hits then bounces over the backboard, then it's out. That's the way we play here in Philly.

It is only out of bounds if the ball touches the top of the back board and goes behind it. If it just touches the top, and comes back it is still in play.

No, its not OB. In the NBA, the only reason the play stops is because it hits the shot clock, which actually is out of bounds.

the top of the goal is not out of bounds. if it goes over the top then it is.
