No, in fact I'm 11 and I knew about s.x since I was like in second grade, so I was about 8 years old.

No, my mother sat me down and told me when I was 9.
Some girls can get their periods before they are 11 (myself included), though it's not typical, so it's best to tell them about their period before then so they don't panic when it happens the first time. It's probably easier to bring up sex while explaining why girls get periods. So probably 9 or 10 years old is the right time to start explaining the basics.
It's best if children hear factual, basic information and understand how serious it is (meaning they shouldn't go try it themselves) from a reliable, trusted adult. If you are just a few years older, then it's probably your parents' place to tell your sister. If you don't think they're going to do it, maybe you should talk to your sister's teacher at school. Usually they will have a pretty good idea what the children know already or don't know because kids that age make a big deal of talking about whatever details they pick up from neighborhood kids or older siblings. Make sure a trusted adult talks to her before she gets misinformation on the playground.

Your sis is not too young to "know" about sex, but she is too young to be involved in sex. There are a lot of things out there they need to know that keep them safe, like good touch and bad touch, and condoms, but there's also alot they will find out just by watching tv, or from friends, neither are real good sources. But find out, they will, whether your parents take a very active roll in it or not. My kids, all 4 of them knew the difference between a vagina and a penis at a really young age, because we are all naturally curious and sexual beings...be honest. Knowledge is power, they say, at least she won't be taken advantage of because of the things she doesn't know...hope she stays pure till the right time comes.

Since when is too young too young to know?
Sexual education is a must nowadays so one is aware of the actions one undertake and in a way be responsible even at such a minor age.Enlightenment is the key to knowledge so there's no harm in knowing an important matter such as wisdom revolving sex. It's an essence of life.Ignorance however, may result to unexpected early pregnancies leading to abortions in as much as curiousity with no proper guidance may lead to rape.I don't think it's bad to tell theoritically to your sister what sex is all about..just minimize telling so much about the details of lovemaking 'coz you never know she might actually put that into practice.:)
Stick to what's informative,so you'd not embarass her and you wouldn't feel reluctant to tell.Keep it light ..
I do hope it will turn out effective for both of your sakes.

Your parents should be the one to answer this for you. They love you and are concerned about you . Ask your mom or your school counselor if you have questions. .
Talk to your parents please,on line is not the place for an 11 yr old to be asking there are far too many people ready to take advantage of your age ..take care please

my mom told me when I was 3 lol but just that I came out of her tummy.
She should already know something about it...but you shouldn't tell her how to actually "do it" because then she might go out and do that.
Sex before marriage is wrong.

to youge to have it YES!! to younge to know?..not at all..I tell my Kids ( 8 and 10 ) about it it just depends on how you tell them and what you say about it. any one can make a baby, but it takes money and a solid life to give that baby what it diserves...( something i tell them ) good luck
