short term by def means you do not want to take a loss. Invest in Money Market or short term CD.

You shouldn't invest in stock "short-term." Instead, invest in a mutual fund or money market fund. Many money markets have a 5-7 day yield on them with about 5% interest rate. You could use sharebuilder.com, etrade.com, or ameritrade.com, they're all pretty reputable companies. I hope this helps & good luck!!
