It may be true that you have a good body and you're proud of it, but what really is the point of showing it off? Aren't you just volunteering yourself as a sex object then? Aren't you secretly glad that men around the world are mentally defiling you? If not, then why? What is your ulterior motive ind trying to look sexy/slutty?

(Question asked because I've been told that men are not allowed to treat women as sex objects in spite of a shortage in the clothing department.)

good freaking question i know this is geared ore toward woman but thank you for asking. i want the answer as well. if i flirt it's usually just a little smile and conversation but women can do almost anything and if say somethig about it or do anything similar we are wrong and sexist. that's right for having a concern and asking this question someone at least one will call you sexist. watch out here they come

peace.

you're partly right, girls clothes are getting slutty by the day but it's not all our faults, the manufacturers do make the clothes you know based on style and fads per season...it just happens to be a time of the year where paper thin, low tops and short shorts are in, of course, clothing is getting to be slutty and worse by the season, not just summer.

Of course, you're also right on the fact that it's women's fault for actually buying the clothes and then chewing out men for looking at them like an item or cheap sex object for wearing it...I mean there's nothing wrong with being proud of your body and flaunting it off but there are limitations! I don't think all women dress slutty or cheap to get men's attention; there are some of us out there that are just proud of our bodies and if we see something that looks good on us or makes us feel good we're probably going to buy it, but how men perceive us based on what we wear is not really fair...most women don't realize they're dressing that way because nobody's had the guts to inform them, yet you stand there criticizing them...next time you see a women that you care about or don't feel is dressed appropriately, why don't you kindly tell her that she should consider wearing something that's more complimenting to her body...she may appreciate you for it, otherwise just ignore her, she's not worth your time or yes, she probably is doing it on purpose for the wrong reasons and if that's the case she'll just have to learn the hard way about dressing like that...

I think there's a huge difference between sexy and slutty. A sexy woman could be wearing a paper bag or a smock but she would still look great. Being sexy is about confidence, carrying yourself with grace, and thinking less is more (as in, showing less skin is more intriguing), acting like a lady & commanding that same respect from men.

Being slutty is thinking that showing off your rack is going to make men like you when in fact it will just get you unwanted attention from skeezy guys. I'm not saying that if a woman dresses smutty she deserves the unwanted attention (she doesn't), but she should have the common sense to cover herself up. If she doesn't have respect for herself then guys WILL start treating her like a sex object and nothing more.

Ok. I was told to have a great body. And I always thought if you have it flaunt it. I'm proud of my curves. And I dont think it's slutty. But I dont understand what you mean. I think some women do it for attention. They enjoy the attention. And I must add the attention does feel good. But I infact dont think your volunteering yourself as a sex object! Don't jude a book by it's cover! It's way more deeper then what you wear. But since I have a curvy body typse I dont want to hide it under loads of clothes!

Well there's a difference between sexy and slutty.
You can dress sexy without looking like a skanker.
And the point to dressing sexy is feeling good about yourself. Guys will always, always be horny, it's nature. But it's flattering when a guy, or girl gives you a compliment on hair, makeup, body, etc.
It's better than letting yourself go and looking like a slob.
gotta respect yourself. too many people look like slobs in this country.

I agree, clothes are becoming more non-existent these days. Then, women get mad when someone calls them a whore, but that's exactly what they are portraying. I think it has a lot to do with what's on t.v. There's too many young girls trying to look like their favorite celebrities. All these music videos with girls half-naked dancing around and letting men call them all sorts of degrading things, people see these things and believe that it's okay. So many women don't have respect for themselves anymore.

I totally agree.
the most disgraceful thing is when I went to a graduation for master's degree at a COLLEGE and this one female shows up in a skin tight/ flesh colored top with a lose , tight-ish skirt and had her male-friend all over her .
some women simply dont know and when to dress appropriatly.
she had an ENVIABLE little body, but seemed to lack fashion and occasion sense.
I hate slutty looking women and dont try to look like one. IT disgusting in broad daylight. Better for night time when with friends , not for everyday wear.

Beats me...it just never has made sense to me why women complain of the "attention" men give them, yet they are dressed in ways that really draw attention. Women need to realize that men are visually oriented (and that's not bad, just different), and they need to stop dressing in ways that are just asking men to look at them. Unfortunately, in today's society beauty is portrayed in the wrong way (revealing clothes, skinny bodies, etc.) so women feel that if they are to be beautiful, they must look like that. I wish more women would understand that it is not beautiful to dress like that, and it is hurting themselves and the men around them.

Thank you. I am glad that someone actually thinks about this. Girls should respect their bodies, as well as the minds of the guys that look at her. However, many of them don't see it that way. They want to attract a guy, and don't know how else to do that than to show off their body. I don' think that's the best way to go. I believe in modesty.

Women have low morals. Talk about men and how we are dogs, this and that. We wouldn't be dogs if we didn't have Bitches to chase. Truth is men have no respect for women who dress and act like hoochies. They get used and mistreated then passed to the curb. I promise everyone of these ladies has at least one of those stories.

blah im just rambling i guess.
