or are we created?? are we made the way the way we are

i had a nasty thought the other night (yes, i know i should stop thinking)

what if we are 'created' to be the personality that we are, with governments tinkering with education and certain aspects of our lives its certainly possibly

u either follow or rebel against the model u are given at childhood

also if u create an equal number of people committed towards society as there are against then u would create a 'war' within the economy with the two opposing sides working against each other and neither achieving anything, which would keep the economy constantly ticking over with different sides at the 'forefront' at different times

so by being lazy and allowing people to be 'against society' (or to drop out) and saying, it doesnt matter - are we making life more stressful for ourselves and ultimately destroying our society in the long run, when we should be finding commmon ground and working together

There is a branch of sociology, the applied type, that is called "social engineering." It works through two means: education and propaganda.

Every society has it. Say, if a country is planning to become a military power in 20 years, right away there is a whole spate of pro-war movies, games and songs that make the people grow thinking that war is good.

Ever our dating preferences are engineered one way or another, depending on which people are presented in the mass media as attractive.

You've got it friend. And so has it been the last thirteen thousand years. We are in fact, quite unique in every sense of the word. Here's the rub, there are other concommittants and all are within you. Read the book ... I think you know which one I mean. There are answers no where else. You seem a bright person. Too, you might find, if you don't take a technical course, that a liberal arts education, after you've applied analytical reasoning, doesn't amount to anything other than a full time position in a ' quality ' book store. Strike while the iron is hot.

To answer the first part, I am always being called "unique". I used to hate it until I realised how bad so many people act. Now I do not mind so much, because I know I do not do that.

Second part: we all have nasty thoughts.

Third part: I do not agree with. I tried to follow but [again] have always been told & "pingeoned-holed" into something I was not. This must happen to many people (or maybe I really am unique---too bad it is not in a different way.)

As for the rest of it, it sounds a bit too much like "Gattaca" for me to answer.

What you observed might be true, but how would that differ from the natural behavior of a free thinking society? If unique qualities of people are naturally randomized, their behaviors would be just as contradicting as a society engineered the way you just described. In that case why bother? LOL

No - i'm not uniq ...well - my name is Yordan
and it's not uniq ... hmmm ... if i put more YYY - it coud be ... hmmm

anyway - X-Files - they tell all the TRUTH and wholw truth
( nice serial anyway )

Sociate - well - it's not in rise ... it's on fall
and not because overburnig , it's because the miss of something
But the badly in the case is that This missing is Personal realted to each one of people ...
Everything is created to us as a THIS TO THE MASSES OF THIS COUNTRY ... and THIS TO THE MASSES of other country asn so on - we are still not united to talk about Sociate as whole one of human rase

Python flashback;
"You're all different!"
"Yes; we are all different."
"I'm not"
"Shhhh."

Are we unique? I'm going to have to stop you at the first sentance. You mean "am I unique?" If the question is whether a group of you are unique you're already part of a collective.

Start by asking a useful question.
