Well each one is so different, has different things about them that one can enjoy! I mean iguanas, their presence, their size, their personality, temperament is awesome! A turtle can be just a lot of fun to watch, to hang out with, tortoises you just have to want one's that end up being pretty big but they're awesome too! We have boas and one albino burm python and they are so peaceful, so amazing to watch, especially at night when they move around the most. Bearded dragons are so friendly, so sweet, and can just hang out and watch TV with them! So it depends upon what you want, what you like! I honestly can't pick one, lol, love 'em all!!!

This depends on how much time you have on your hands and how much effort you will be willing to put into it. I don't do snakes, except when I get one in for adoption. I do know that it is hard to find a "good" home for them.
Bearded dragons seem fairly docie, but require quite a bit of maintenence, but are very lovable, and don't usually inflict serious bites. Iguanas require quite a bit of time, special feeding, plenty of room, and a lot of handling, or they will be very contrary.
Iguanas can be a twelve to fifteen year obligation if you are good to it, and take very good care of it.
None of the above will be very cuddly, the bearded dragon will tolerate you more than the others. I guess the main word is tolerance. They each tolerate you at diffrent levels. The turtle probably requires less maintenence and time and effort than any of the above. Get all the facts on each of them, then think it over before you choose, because the reptile is the first one to suffer if you make the wrong choice.

I've had all of those kinds of pets and I can tell you from experience that a bearded dragon is the best choice. Iguanas are cute when they're little, but they get REALLY big. And unless you have almost an entire room to dedicate to the iguana, I would say to pick something else. Turtles are cool but, depending on what kind you get, they also get pretty big and can be really dirty and aren't that great to handle. Snakes and bearded dragons are both relatively easy to take care of but bearded dragons are more fun. My snake pretty much just curled up in the corner and didn't do much, but my bearded dragon is very active and is curious about what is going on around his tank. He also likes to be handled and to run around outside of his tank when I let him. So I would definitely choose a bearded dragon....they're the easiest to care for and the most fun.

If you're a first-time herp, beardies are supposed to be VERY hardy and social. They take well to handling, aren't aggressive, and make a good pet.
On the other hand, we've had corn snakes for years and they are just about the perfect first reptile. Hardy, VERY non-aggressive, available in beautiful colors (though I like the natural "Okeetee" color phase best), and INCREDIBLY low maintenance. A mouse every few days, fresh water, and clean bedding and they're happy.
Two other things about corn snakes: because they are so placid, they're great to introduce people to reptiles because they move slowly and are very calm around people (as long as they're not hungry and cranky). And if the room is cool, a corn snake will "hug" people to absorb warmth from them -- a very rewarding behavior if you're introducing someone, especially kids, to reptiles. We have made a point of taking them in to the kids' classrooms every chance we get.
Negatives with corn snakes: they are exclusively carnivores and they eat their prey whole. Yes, you can feed them "mousicles" (frozen mice), thawed out in a cup of warm water, but the idea of feeding whole dead mice to a snake bothers some people. Iguanas are vegetarians, so if you don't want to handle whole mice, an iguana or a turtle might be a better choice.
But if you can handle the feeding, corn snakes are an ideal reptile for someone new to the hobby, and they're interesting enough to be a rewarding and fascinating pet for years. We've had two of them for seven years or so, and they are beautiful to look at, interesting to hold, and great fun to show at our kids' schools.

Snakes are probably low maintenence and less expensive than the rest of them. Iguanas need more space and an experienced lizard owner. Bearded dragon adults are less expensive than babies and juveniles as they eat less protein (crickets).

Snakes are the best for beginners, iguanas are terrible pets unless you know what your doing and beardies are lovely.

They are all good. If you want to get one and it is your first time I would recommend getting a Leopard Gecko. I have had mine for nearly three years and they require little care. Cleaning out their cage when you think they need it, fresh water, a place to sleep, a heat source(cause they're cold-blooded), and crickets or mealworms for them to eat. Plus a 10 gallon aquarium. They don't get HUGE, but they are a decent size.
