i Met this girl and we became really close friends!!! i like her a lot (as i friend cause i am a girl). we are alike and whenever i talk to her i am happy and smiling! does that mean i am gay? i dont think i am bt i just wanna be sure!

How could you possibly think that? I've read other stuff you've written and I know you've got a handle on reality better than that. You found a friend you have a lot in common with, you enjoy her company, end of story. By the way, if you were even the slightest bit unsure, how could we possibly know? Think about it. First off, only you can answer that question. Nobody else can say yes or no as far as love goes. But, I can say that this is normal behavior to really like someone of the same sex and want to be around them all of the time. Depending on your age, and the reason I say this is because all adolescents ask the question "could I be gay?" at one time or another. Just because you have a best friend of the same sex doesn't mean you are gay. It just means that you have a really good friend who makes you happy and that you could talk to.

No I dont think so I mean I have one girl in my life my best friend we dont hang out much but when ever i talk to her she makes me smile you know cause we can understand each other and usually were going through the same thing so no I dont think your gay...

I don't think that's enough to indicate if you are homosexual or not, but why would it matter anyway? Live, love and be happy, girl. You only go around once. If you're happy, smiling, and have a close friend - count yourself very fortunate and go with it.

Why do you assume you are gay? Why don't you think of it as happiness because of friendship?
There are little things in life that we should all feel happy about and finding a good friend is one of those things.
Plus, you said yourself you have no sexual feelings for her.

I think you're worrying too much. Having "gay" thoughts or feelings sometimes is normal. The problems begin when you mistakenly think you "must" be gay because of these thoughts or feelings and then declare--mistakenly--that you're gay.
Just chill out and enjoy your friend. If you were gay you'd know it without question.

just b/c you are having fun with her doesnt mean you are gay..it just means you are having fun.....and dont be afraid of being gay straight or bi there is nothing wrong with any of them b/c it is who you are..you cant ask ppl if they think you are gay b/c you are the only person that knows what sexual pref. you choose to be

NO it might mean that you found someone you like to hang out with and do things with and you have a lot in common and can share alot. Everyone deserves someone like that congrats to you
