They say a dying person only ever regrets the things they did not do and I would tend to agree with that.
I wish I had done more ,told them this etc etc.

Don't think I could ever regret something I did do because no matter how it turns out you will always learn from it. Within reason I try to "do" as much as possible and really push the boundries of my experience. In that way I couldn't regret something I didn't do (cause I probably did it) and I cant regret something I did do because with this attitude I would become a more rounded individual through the experience.
Make sense? At least I don't regret TRYING to give a truthfull and intelligent answer!

Regretting something that I did not do is not sensible...If I didn't take an initial action I can not know what it's outcome would have been. Probably people who claim to regret not doing something are actually regretting their FANTASY of how it would have turned out - how cool! In dreams I am awesome! It's like ending a miserable relationship and then missing the person...BS!!! You miss your fantasy of who they were, not the reality.
So, I clearly regret some of the things I have done. As for those things I haven't done - well, I'm cool off that stuff.

Great question! Recently I've been in a situation where I've had to ask myself this. I went through with what i had to go through and don't have any regrets, but if i did have any regrets i wouldn't care because it's better to have regrets than looking back and thinking 'what if'?
So basically better to have done something and regret it rather then to have not done it and though 'what if'. It also depends what the situation is ;-)

I'd much rather regret something I did. Then I can put my mind to it, turn it into a learning experience, and stop regretting.

Regrets about something that didn't happen will never go away.

Something I did. Because regret over something you didn`t do is worst, as you will never know what it wos like, and you might not regret doing it if you had done it.

Regrets I have a few but too few to mention. Life is short try everything once. If not you will regret it.

About something I did (which has affected me since I was 11 yrs old-and will affect me for the rest of my life)
And I have many hundreds of things perhaps even thousands of things I have not done.

Just watched a mock survival S.A.S Training program and one of their quotes tonight was Pain Is Temporary Pride Is Forever. Go for everything!
