I haven't taken Algebra for a few years, and I've already forgot how to do this type of equation.
Given 3n * n = 32
Which is correct? 4n = 32 OR 3n^2 = 32

3n+n would be 4n.

You multiply them. 3n*n=3n squared. Divide 3 on both sides. n squared=32/3. Then to get rid of the square, you would have to square root each side. You end up with. n=the square root of 32/3. I hope you can figure it out from there. I just don't feel like doing a square root right now.
