I went shopping for some shorts and sandals but all I found were racks and racks fo thick, wooly, lined clothes. There weren't even anyu sale racks with summer stuff on them. Why do I have to buy summer clothes in winter and winter clothes in summer?

I was wondering the same thing when my coat got messed up last winter and here it is freezing out side, snow on the ground got to the store and the nuts have shorts & bikinis on the shelves.

Because fashion in stores are always one season ahead, but it is a bit odd that you weren't able to find any Summer clothes.

because most people like to shop ahead of when you will need the clothes... this is why shopping season is reversed or ahead of the weather.
