I mean, they cant possibly believe theyre "different" or "original" when there are thousands of other kids calling themselves the same thing. So at the end of the day what does "emo" come to? Is it just a bunch of outcasts giving themselves an image make-over? Or just some depressed kids that havent found clarity within themselves?

I think it is a little of both. I am going to be a soph in high school this fall, and it seems like most of the kids "pose" as or make fun of emo kids as hooded, dark, and overdepressed, etc.
But there are some really depressed[actual kids] who have been abused and who have problems "emo" that haven't found clarity like you said. It differs wherever yuo go.:D
