tell her about it the most straightforward, medical, scientific way possible.

Dont talk about it like its something goofy or silly, or else she wont care.

Just tell her the truth and nothing more or less

Well first off now would be a good time to tell her about the birds and the bee's if you haven't done so already or else it can be quite confusing. It's simple just tell her in your own words that she is one step closer to becoming like mommy, why it's happening and she shouldn't be ashamed. Or you can take the medical route however I wouldn't since she is only 9 and most nine year olds simply aren't that mature.

Answer her qustions directly and honestly, without giving her more information than she has asked for. If you have not answered her question, she will ask you for more information.

Try not to teach her that it is something to be embarrased about, or ashamed of.

you can just randomly bring the topic up with your daughter. or you could spend a day with her and just talk about women stuff. dont be shy about it. She should feel like shes able to talk with her mom about anything.

let her ask you. but if you feel she wants to know just ask her. if she has any questions. that should open the conversation.
