I am considering a move to killeen texas and would like to find a job working or volunteering as a teachers aid with disabled children or adults. I do have a little experience. I would be willing to volunteer to get the experience I may need. I would appreciate any help that anyone could give me in finding an organization in the area that I will move to. Thanks!

I know of an aid hiring in austin, but i'd go to killeen ISD and they should have all the info you need for their hiring positions. Good Luck!

Check out the following link it is a discussion board on autism. You may be able to get some more answers there. At least, I'm sure it would be a better place to look than here.

Do you have kids or relatives who have kids nearby? My favorites were always the aunt and uncle types. Share your wisdom and teach them what you know in a way they can relate to.
