Lots of raspberry tea, have a hot curry, drive over a bumpy road or have lots of orgasms. I've heard raspberry tea works well. Don't try too hard to induce yourself though, you don't want to hurt yourself! Good luck.

Why do you want to induce your labor with household items? How far along are you? You just need to wait and let your baby come on its own. Or if you are feeling so uncomfortable or having problems you need to go the doctor.

You should try to be patient. Your baby will come when it is time. I promise you that all babies do come out.

If you are getting uncomfortable, schedule a massage. It will make you feel better and will help to put your body in balance which will make labor easier.

Go get a haircut or get your nails done. Do stuff you won't have time to do after baby comes. Pamper yourself.

Have lots of sex if you are at least 38 weeks. Semen can ripen the cervix and orgasm can bring on contractions. Know that nothing you do will work to induce labor if your body isn't ready.

First of all the people who suggested swallowing semen are just plain gross. If your baby eats everything you eat, why would you want to do that? The theory is when you have sex, the semen acts to soften the cervix. Also, if you have sex make sure you have an orgasm as the orgasm can start contractions.

But best for you and the baby is to wait it out. If you do find something that makes you go into labor early and the baby comes out with problems, wouldn't you feel awful that it was your impatience that caused this?

Might i suggest you utilize sex to induce. The sperm and protien enzymes will help break down the mucus plug and therefore induce labor. I know I have been used to this purpose before.

My best friends mom told her to eat broccoli casserole and that it should induce you and later that night she had to go to the hospital because she was having contractions, You should try that it actually worked for two of my friends however I guess it could have been a coincidence! Hope I helped!

Let nature take it's course.
Please don't attempt anything people tell you on this site. It may endanger your baby's life as well as your own. Ask a doctor. If the doctor doesn't tell you how to do it then it probably not safe to do so.

Also I saw this on other answers to your question. If it worked for a lot of people it must be true, if you are close to your due date have sex. My sister was having sex when her water broke. (I felt sorry for her BF. He sure got wet that night!!!!)

Don't listen to the guy who said castrol oil, it's dangerous. If you are close to your due date, ask you OB/Gyn to induce, or do alot of walking. Other stuff is harmful.

Contact your OB doctor for safe methods to induce. Otherwise let nature do what it has to do.

Spicy foods and herbal tea. Taking walks also help but I think its
best to let the baby come out when it wants to.
