how to pasword protect a second hard drive or a partition? or enable access that partition just to 1 user?

i hav this partition in my computer and i wanna make that partition so only i can access it, so no other users can use it

Two possibilities are to use Windows EFS (Encrypting File System), which works pretty well as long as your realize its limitations (for starters, it has an odd definition of "key escrow"). If you're trying to keep your kid sister from snooping, EFS is fine). And your Windows XP came iwth it, so the price is right. ;)

Another possibility is TrueCrypt from http://www.truecrypt.org - the price is right (free) and it works pretty well, and runs on *anything*..
