It depends on the person and the situation. For example, a person may think that $50,000 dollars is a lot of money, but if they were on the game show Deal or NO Deal they may think that is chump change compared to the $1,000,000 possiblity. They will risk that $40,000 for a chance at the $1,000,000 and may only wind up with $5,000. (which may be a lot to someone else but it is nothing compared to what they could have had, if they had stuck with the $40,000)

In some parts of the world a dollar ($1) is a lot of money.

A lot of money is always going to be more than you need. So if you want a lot of money, that means you want more money than you need. Not than you have. You may need the money you have, but having a lot of money means a lot of extra spending. I think $5 is alot. What does that say about me? I usually dont get my hands on money.

I won't answer with a number because there is no right answer to this question. For a poor person it might be enough to buy a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk. To Rockerfeller on his deathbed (who had billions) it's one more dollar.
It depends on some people's needs and other people's greeds.

For most people, no matter what number they give, it's more than they have. If they one day had the amount they answer now, they'd often still think "a lot" was then more than that.

good question, as long as im with my family and i'm healthy...i dont really care about the money....just enough money to cover daily neccesities......
but....if we're on the subject of like winning a lottery, i would be satisfied with 10 million, i' dont want like a trillion dollars cuz even if i have a lot of money i would never consider quitting my goal of becoming a doctor :P i want to make the money myself as well.

69

I don't know if 69 is really a lot of money, but since your question asks for a number, I have given you my favorite number.
