Buy some land, build a house, invest whatever was left, live off the interest and stay home with my family!

I would try to find an investment with a fair amount of payback and without too much risk.
I did some quick calculations about a week ago and came to the following conclusion. It costs the average US adult about $1,752,000 to live within the lower middle class for 60 years. A million is surely not enough to make it through the average lifespan without using it to generate more wealth.

1752000 Total Cost of Living for 60 years in the US middle class.

I would buy a house, a new Acura RL & Mercedes CL55 AMG, go on vacation, go shopping, start my own business and invest.
