yea it was stupid. hes the only talented person on that team, and he cannot get them to win. if they had traded him for prospects, and devoloped the prospects, they could have a winning team in the near future. now they either lose their best player and leave a team full of awful players, or they have to pay soriano anything that he wants. the orioles should have tried to trade tejada as well, but it is not nearly as urgent as soriano was. the orioles are a much better team then the nats. i feel like if they are commited this offseason they can bring in some talent. they should probally try and bring in some young major league ready talent, because they dont have the payroll to pay for veterans. there is still hope for the orioles

Soriano said that he liked his team thats y he stayed, but i really believe that he should of been traded to a team like the White Sox,or even the Tigers.

They are not stupid for not trading Alfonso Soriano, they are stupid for not re-signing him right away because you know what happens when you sign after the trade deadline right?

when soriano said that he wanted to stay in Washington, everything change, i think he saw potential in the core of the nationals, they have a really good young players, and probably he thinks they will mature soon

Yes, they didn;t trade him because they are planning on re-signing him this winter. He is the center of their rebuilding phase.
