It should take no longer than three days for first-class mail, although we all know it usually takes much longer. Fourth class or parcel rate takes about four days--supposedly.
It depends on the work ethic of the postal employee and how functual the transportation system is.

3 days, but you should never send cash in the mail, either write a check or get a money order.
