I'm not feeding the rooster and he's been in my yard for over a week. Tomatoes are cherry and romas.

He will eat tomatoes if there isn't anything else around, but he is probably hunting for insects while staying cool among your plants. He would probably eat your lawn over the tomatoes.

Yes chickens will eat the tomatoes, ripe or unripe.
