Divide the volume of the room (300cf) by the height of the room and you will have the surface area in square feet. You must supply the height either based on accurate information or an estimate perhaps based on the age and style of the building (high or low ceiling) or assume an average height. Of course the room may be retangular or square. For example if the room is 10 feet high the area will be 300/10 = 30 square feet. This could be about a 5.5 foot square or three feet by ten feet etc.

300 c.f. is a measure of volume. If you took a 10 ft. x 10 ft. room and filled it up with 3 ft. of water, that would be 300 c.f.

Or if you had a 5' x 10' area (say a moving van), you could fill it up with 6 ft. of stuff to make 300 c.f.

Volume of a rectangular prism is given by the formula L x W x H. Just pick 3 dimensions that multiply to 300 and you'll have your answer.
