We have an outside pet. I have never had an inside pet and never will. I'm too much of a clean freak for that! I don't see anything wrong with it though

She's outside by her own choice, she likes to come in to chill a bit, but when she's ready to go out, you better open the door, because she'll poop all over the place.

Right there with you .. I can't stand pets inside... Love them outside though... I can't stand pet hair or other drippings in the house, and the smell too! I would never haev an indoor pet rather than fish. Those are my only inside pets. I guess I didn't grow up with this mentality.. Back where I grew up, there were no such things as pets, they were animals neccessary for the household. Dogs keep the coyotees away, cats keep the mice away, bovine and goats and chickes are livestock... Things changed, and I am just a little over the first quarter of my century. Oh, well... I also don't get too close to animals... I love them I feed them, I give them everything, pet them a little, and then rush to wash my hands... but I never let my dog lick my hands or face...etc. Gross!

I have 2 dogs and they are both inside, only out to do their business. I don't beleive in keeping an animal outside, they can't possibly get the amount of love and attention they need through the door. It is also too hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Why bother having a pet?

We have a dog, an inside dog. My husband is a clean freak too, and vacuums and dusts every day...God Bless him. Dogs especially need human companionship, so we believe it is not fair to have a dog and keep it outside all of the time. Their is nothing wrong at all about wanting a very clean house, but you do have to consider the life of any animal that you are thinking about adopting. If it is more important to you to have a clean house, then it is not fair to you, or the animal, to bring one into your life.

I have an inside pet and she is super clean...my boston is like my child

Personally I would never own an outside pet..they dont get enough attention and it is way to hot outside for an animal...would you want to sit outside all day long? I think not!

I have an inside out cat! lol! no, seriously my cat used to get out at my old flat but we now live 4 flights up so is a total housecat

The cat got terrorised by all things 2 or 4-legged and is now a pampered pussycat

The only drawback is the litter tray but I've trained my fella to clean that!

My two cats are inside only.

My boyfriend's dog stays outside during the day, but comes inside at night.

Living with animal hair is a fact of life for me.

we have 2 dogs that are both inside and outside... A pitbull/terrier mix, and a wolf/rott mix... Recently the wolf started jumping the fence while we were at work, so we started leaving the dogs in the house durning the day, rather than just letting them in at night when we are home like normal.. They chewed up our couch... so they are outside dogs more than ever now... The wolf is big and black and i have black hair ALL over my house and it drives me crazy,.. I love our dogs, but it is for sure hard to keep a house clean while they are inside... There is black dog hair on everythingm so i understand your pain...
