Howdy, I live in Marysville and have been to the Lynwood a few times. The Lynwood is a typical blue collar, working class neighborhood bar with the typical bar food offerings and bar food quality. The prices are, however, pretty decent. If you are comfortable with these things- then go for it, it's a friendly enough place. If you are going to the Lynwood for a "dining experience" and/or atmosphere, you will probably be disappointed and there are many "classier", pricier, more "upscale" bar/restaurants I would suggest in either Marysville, Port Huron, or St. Clair. In Marysville, a couple nicer places are probably Good Fella's on Gratiot (Italian/gangster- themed and still not too bad on price) or the Junction Buoy along the St. Clair River (pricier, a bit cramped but you can go out on to the deck and they often have live music). In St. Clair, a bar similar to the Lynwood is La Croix Family Pub; nicer, more expensive places include the Voyaguer and the River Crab (more upscale on the river and the River Crab may also be packed depending on day/time) and if you like Mexican- there is a pretty nice place off the Pine River (I can't think of the name off hand). Upscale/excellent/expensive dining places (all with nice atmosphere) in Port Huron include the Pilot House (right on the St. Clair River), Rum Runnerz (kind of a Caribbean vibe on the Black River) and my favorite- Quay Street Brew Pub (right next to Rum Runnerz on the river); a more affordable choice, (sometimes have dancing and other stuff going on) may be the HAC- Huron Athletic Club (part of it tries to be a sports bar and part of it is more a restaurant). Otherwise, the area is filled with family style places (chains and independent), small diners and small bars/pubs.
