At least they're keeping an open mind.
I myself represent myself as an agnostic. I have read the Bible (both Old and New Testament), parts of the Koran (translated), and readings from the Buddhist and Hindu faiths. Basically the conclusion I've come to is that no one has it all right, and who am I to make a decision what is correct?
Do I believe there is something greater than I am? Maybe. Am I willing to say that there isn't? No way. That would be assuming a superior intelligence that I am not capable of.
Agnostics are smart to keep their minds open and their mouths shut. They have their own personal beliefs and don't lecture others.
The people who feel that their beliefs are the only beliefs are religious zealots and athiests. Both leave no room for disagreement.

I'm agnostic and Buddhist and I think I do OK! I was raised to be Methodist but as soon as I got some room in which to exercise my brain I decided to go and have a look around, get a little educated and make my own decisions.
I like the author Terry Pratchett's view, he says he is atheist in the fact that he is mad at God for not existing!

My dad is agnostic and he is ok.... but I watched a programme the other day and it said that the original meaning of agnostic was enlightened people. Thinking on this meaning then Agnostics must be clever and know something we dont.

I agree completely with Nkellingley - I'm agnostic and extremely open-minded.
I do however, believe that it is beyond human capacity to understand whether or not God exists. This isn't a cop-out stance - it's what I firmly believe.
However, if someone could demonstrate something different to me I'd be all ears.

I'm agnostic and I figure, we're the most sane people out there, we're willing to admit we don't know if there is or isn't a god and we're happy to accept evidence of proof of existence if someone can provide it - as long as it isn't "just ask yourself and you'll know" or the ramblings of 2000 year old men in another language but actual scientific proof.

But you CAN know about something and definitely this subject. Sometimes when you look at the people/inventors or whatever of something, you can get a much better idea than if you immerse yourself in what they say. You can back up atheism if you look at astronomy and cosmology - without intending to that is.

every individual is entitled to his/her own opinion and belief, maybe agnostic people have different life and they are happy that way.
