What is a reasonable profit for a company to make? The democrats will never tell you that. They say 6 billion or 9 billion or whatever number they choose, what they do not say is that the oil companies PERCENTAGE profit on capital is around 9% - right in line with most other businesses. Would a liberal tell you that the networks make a larger percentage profit than the oil companies? Do networks have to spend billions on research and development, on finding new oil reserves, on finding better and cleaner ways for their products to be used? Do networks have to put with endless government regulation that forces them to turn their products into so many different varieties that they slow down the companies ability to get them to market?

Liberalism means never having to have a real solution to a real problem - and it also means never having to tell the whole story...
You just make up portions of it that sound good, and leave out anything that does not jive with what you want people to believe.

Here again - democrats trying to sell their empty agenda with lies, distortion and class warfare...

Did you know that the Ds are blocking oil exploration, nuclear power generation, oil refineries, solar and wind power generators that might spoil their scenic views, hydroelectric dams, research into hydrogen fusion power generations, etc?

Much of the oil company profits are due to the increase in the value of their oil and gas reserves. It's like the value of raw land going up because someone builds a shopping center next door. The value goes up, but without the ability to develop it, it's just the same piece of land.

What a lie that statement is! Oil is a supply and demand comodity. The higher the demand, of course the price will go up. Also, we have a shortage of refining capacity because of excessive government regulation. There is enough oil, but there is a bottleneck at the refineries, which do not have enough capacity to produce gasoline at this time.

What is YOUR solution? "Windfall" taxes? That really helps us a lot! Democrats love to tax!

No they aren't ignoring them, they're helping the gas/oil companies to earn profits so that the executives may conspicuously consume and therefore the money will trickly down to the rest of us.

Yes they do, because according to them the OIL execs "work hard" for those millions. To them "working hard" means rip people off and profiteer from a war.
