My mini iPod is messed up and i need to send it in to the apple store to get it fixed... while its there can they upgrade it so i can have like th epicture of the album on it like on picture iPods and iPod nanos?

unfortunately no, the photo/picture support is part of the new features available only on the newer (nano, video ipod) iPods.

the quick answer is no. You should really upgrade because repairs of the iPod Mini will probably cost more than buying a new iPod!

I believe the chipsets are different in the mini vs say the nano.

Why not ask your customer service rep if you can just return it and use the credit to purchase the one you do want?

No, I don't think that would work. I'd like to upgrade my Nano to accept more songs but I don't know if that's possible.

hmm maybe. I know a few friends who have games on there iPod video. Gams such as doom. I would assume that there would be a way to get pictures, but you would have to research on your own.
