In college, there were some classes like math in which I hardly study and got A's and other classes like biology in which I studied my butt off and barely passed.

I think what you are talking bout is more left brain vs right brain. Usually right brain people will have an easier time with things like reading, history. etc and the left brain people will have an easier time with science and math, etc.

you probably noticed the people that made great grades in the classes you struggled with, probably struggled in the classes you found easy. There are a few people that are very strong in both areas of their brain but thats not the common.

I know I made straight As and did assignments with ease in the Right brain subjects but I struggled to earn my D's in the left brain subjects.

It's both of course but I think it depends on interest in subjects as well. I'm in college right now and I passed all of my classes with mostly A's because I liked the courses and I had no problem studying them since I liked them so much.

As far as math was concerned I hated it and didn't do the best I could which is why I had to take it over again. I studied my butt off and passed it finally with an A.

I figure that even if you don't like a class as much, if you really put your best foot forward your gonna pass it.

Good grade comes from both work and intelligence. I have know people who were sort of smart but worked hard and made good grades. I have know those who didn't work at all, ever very intelligent, but made bad grades because they did not apply themselves. Then, there are those who are sort of smart and work sort of hard and make OK grades. I agree about biology and math and other science classes, I had to study, study, study to get through them, while others just read the material once and seemed to know it all.

It takes both, but the harder you work, the less intelligence you need. To have both is truly a killer combination.
