I would imagine that by using the word "Some" you will get the answer yes. Do all parents? NO People are wierd and capable of anything in terms of cruelty. Everything is interconnected so the punishment transgresses to the punished, punisher, and society. Think about dogs. If a dog isn't "worthy" of being kept, people abandon them and in turn, punish the dog.

It depends are the orphans older and act more mature. I make my older son yell at his 10 year old sister when it is the right time to yell at her. But this maybe a different situation.

Could be. Ever hear about the young man who murdered his parents and then plead mercy upon the court because he was an orphan?

You can't be an orphan unless one (half-orphan) or both parents are dead. Unless they commit suicide, people generally don't intend to orphan their children, so no.

I have never heard of this case
though sometimes a parent will commit suicide
but it's not usually expressly to punish the kids.

I don't believe it's to punish the children.. I believe it's more about how selfish they are that they loose sight of the children's behalf.

i think some parents make that decision because the children are not planned and they either cant afford it or don't believe in abortion.
