ick is a fungal infection that can kill your fish.don't treat for ick if you don't have that problem .cloudy water could be a number of things, but not ick.

Ick is a parasite. It looks like someone sprinkled salt on the fish. Yu probably don't have it and you should not be using the medication- it is very stressful for the fish.

The water is cloudy because your tank is cycling. Bacteria are what keep the water clear and you don't have any. They live in the filter, gravel and water. So if you remove too much water or rinse the gravel you are essentially killing what keeps the water healthy.

Start doing 25% water changes every 4 or 5 days. You will have to be patient. The water will clear up son. Do Not add any more fish until your water ha stabilized.

Don't add chemicals to your tank- it is a waste of money. Nature solves her own problems if you let her.

Added- ick is a parasite not a fungal infection. They are small little parasitic worms that attach to the fish and develop a hard shell which we see as little white spots. A fungal infection will look like white fuzzy stuff slowly eating the flesh of your fish.

Your cloudy water is the result of your tank not "cycling." The constant water changes are making it worse.

When you set up a tank initially it takes roughly 30 days for the bacteria that prevents clouding to get into the water. After that never change all the water because you'll be back to square one again.

I never use ick away. I prefer to slightly raise the temp of the water a couple degrees and speed up the life cycle of the parasite.

I've had aquariums for thirty or so years

If your fish have ick, they have to stay in to get treated. After I got rid of the ick in my tank, I put a fresh filter in with activated carbon in it, and it cleared the tank up.
