Tokyo is ok, Kyoto is far more beautiful. don;t get me wrong, all of Japan (except possibly Osaka) is beautiful. but Kyoto especially.

Japan is awesome, and knowing the language is a plus. I went last year because of my interest in japanese pottery. Read your guide well, and get a Japanrail pass prior to your departure.; don't make the mistake of thinking you don't need one.
