I actually found the book more scary than the movie for the Exoricist but if you found Emily Rose bothersome then you'll most likely have nightmares with the Exorcist.

If you think Emily Rose is scary, wait till you see the Exorcist. I saw for the first (and only time) about 15 years ago and still can´t even see the trailers. The thing that scares you the most is the fact that this REALLY happened.

I didn't think Emily Rose was so scary..as I understand to a point what reincarnation is. It just isn't all that scary. Now the Exorcist..that's really frightening. Alot of evil portrayed in that film..I've seen bit and pieces of it...but I always believed that if you watch a movie like that...with so much evil and ugliness in it..it'll haunt your mind, and if one is focusing on that kind of evil, your thoughts will actually attract evil to you. But..I guess some folks like that kind of thing. So be it.

it's about a normal 12 yr old girl who becomes mysteriously ill and her mother tries everything to help her as the girl becomes worse and worse... she quickly goes from peeing on the livingroom floor during a dinner party to stabbing herself between her legs with a small crusifix. the mother finally resorts to asking the church for help and she meets a priest who is also a psychologist who is willing to help her by performing an exorcism. the demon named pazuzu heckles and torments the priests and the mother during a long, frightening, and exhausting exorcism. i will not tell you how it ends but if you can handle the graphic scenes and distrubing behaviour of the girl, it's a very good movie. i would also highly recommend the book.
