Life doesn't have to be hard. It is in the power of the individual to choose the way to respond to life. If you want to be a victim, be a victim and your entire existence will follow. If you want to be happy, pay attention to details and you'll see that there are so many things to be happy about.

"People" who won't let you out when you want to (your parents perhaps?) have genuine reasons in accordance with your safety and the fact that they care about you. Get used to this, because they will never jeopardize your safety just so you can live life your way. Life only becomes more complicated when you are on your own without a clue. At that point, all the readily available happiness surrounding you will become even more difficult to trace.

Simplify yourself and life will follow.

Life sometimes is harder because we make wrong choices thinking we know best and then we reap the consequences for our actions. Sometimes life just is. We do not become stronger people unless we go through times of trials. We have to learn that we have to rely on other people as well as God if we are going to be successful in this life and sometimes the only person we want to rely on is ourself.
Sometimes we go through hard times so that we can encourage others who will go through the same hard times later.
Nothing is so bad that we have to check out of life if we allow others and God in and we choose wisely our decisions.
