Heath Ledger is actually a very underrated actor, he gets too much attention for his good looks and buffness, but he's a perdy good actor. Jack Nicholson was a great joker, but I think Heath will do just fine...I don't like the idea of a Batman Begins sequel, b/c Batman Begins was the best superhero movie EVER, they shouldn't go and ruin it...

OK, as a life long Batman fan, I mean a guy who has actually followed the comics for nearly 27 years, Nicholson was not a good Joker. The guy really didn't act in the film, he just played himself. All the Burton/Schumacher films were terrible. I'm a big Burton fan but his Batman was way off. I trust Nolan. He did a great job with Begins. I don't know who Heath Ledger is, but I have confidence in this decision.

Jack Nicholson set a level that I dont think Ledger can acheive. BUT .. Chris Nolan is one hell of a director and if anyone can make Heath Ledger into a good joker, it will be him.
Also the joker role should have gone to Crispin Glover

I trust in the decision. Honestly, I used to hate Heath Ledger but he's proven himself to me in many of his movies. I think it's an interesting casting decision and I think he can pull it off. Jack was just Jack with joker make up on. I think we're going to get a more accurate portrayal of the Joker out of Ledger. Batman Begins was an awesome movie, don't start doubting now.

Honestly I think they should have had someone else play Scarecrow in the last movie and let Cillian Murphy be the Joker in the next one. Scarecrow was a small part anyone could have played. I think Cillian Murphy would be a great Joker. Go watch Red Eye and see how he can do the subtle evil and I think he would be good with the over the top stuff too.

I don't think anyone was thinking of him playing the Joker, but I'm willing to give him a chance. His Joker is supposed to be different than Nicholson's.

first of all, i like your user name....second of all, i'd like to think that heath ledger would be able to pull it off as he seems to be a very versatile actor. but then again hes Heath Ledger and doesn't look like a villain at all...hes pretty hot and I don't think i've ever seen a gorgeous villan so yeah.
