Women tend to be more emotional than men so although they may not actually BE more caring or loving (although it wouldn't surprise me if they were, it's the nature of females), they will tend to express it more so that it appears to be that way. Guys can be very caring and loving also, but it's part of how they are wired to show emotion less than women (in general)...and to perhaps BE less emotional (feel them less) so they can be the tough protectors. Nothing wrong with that at all...the sexes each have different characteristics...

There are of course exceptions to just about every rule.

It all depends on the person. I know some guys who are just perhaps the sweetest most caring people i've ever met, and girls who..well.. I think that girls are just more open about being considerate and caring because in away its expected of them to be (that whole maternal instinct) where as guys want to seem macho, so when a guy is too caring or loving, then sometimes society says he isn't being enough of a "man". Stereotypes,go figure..But all of us have the ability to be loving, caring and considerate its just a matter of whether we choose to be or not.

girls become the mothers and nurturers of the family which requires close contact both physically and emotionally.

boys become the hunters and defenders of the family...imagine how a soldier deals with losing his friends in combat. men express feelings of love and caring much differently than girls. a guy will express his feelings in what he is willing to do for you (ranging from 'nothing' to 'take a bullet'

No. I've met plenty of girls who are self-centered and manipulative, and plenty of guys who are caring and considerate- gender really doesn't play any role in a person's personality.

From what I've seen, girls are much better at being polite and
appearing to care than guys.

However, in terms of ACTUALLY caring, I don't see much
difference at all.

i don't think so. i know a lot of sweet, nice, caring men and women and it's about an equal amount.. same for assholes and bitches, they can be male or female, does not matter at all, it is a personality thing, not a gender question

No.
Genetics has something, not much,to do, and it's the same both ways, I mean for him or her. Upbringing makes the whole diference. What he and she sees at home, the feminine and masculine models that are near, and verbal as nonverbal EDUCATION.
