I am glad with a question like this, you gave an explanation as to what you mean by that. I don't know if Ortiz is taking steroids, but it is suspicious that he was terrible with Minnesota, and he became the DH for a team with a lot of pressure to perform and all of a sudden he does amazing. How many times a year do the Red Sox win and Manny and Ortiz do nothing? 50 times? How many times do they lose and Manny and Ortiz hit Homers? They help each other out because people are afraid to pitch to Manny so they don't walk Ortiz, and throw pitches down the middle. When they do walk Ortiz, they are throwing bad pitches cause they know people are on, and don't want to get hurt, therefore with the bad pitches, they get hurt. The bottom line is the Yankees are a much better TEAM because they are more of a team, and they are not only two players. The Red Sox would do TERRIBLE if Ortiz or Ramirez were out for the season, but Ortiz won't get injured because he is to fat to do anything athletic like play in the field, and if he gets hit by a pitch, hes to fat and cushiony to let it hurt him.

The Red Sox suck because they play 81 of their games in a toy stadium. A routine pop fly to left field turns into a double. That's friggin ridiculous! Manny Ramirez sucks in the outfield. If he was on any other team he would be either a first baseman or a DH. The less ground that he has to cover out there the easier it is for him. The quirky corners in the outfield cause the ball to bounce every direction except to the fielder. Since the Bosox are used to playing on that field and how the balls carom off the wall, it gives them a definite advantage. And yes, David Ortiz is on steroids. And no, I am not a Yankee fan. I hate the Yankees just as much. I am an Angel fan on the Hunt for Red October (not Red Sox)!

your an idiot. david ortiz does not take steroids, he is just one of the best hitters in the game. hes similar to albert pujols, does albert take roids too? they also have the best defense in the game, which though it isn't exciting, will win in the postseason. i do give credit to the yankees, they have done well without matsui and Sheffield, but nonetheless they are still the highest paid team in baseball. we shouldn't be that surprised that they are winning. they still have giambi, jeter, a-rod, damon, mariano rivera, randy johnson, mussina, need i say more? when matsui and sheffield come back though, don't expect to see a huge jump. it will be a weird transition, and also who knows how matsui and sheffield will play coming off multi-month injurys. the redsox do not suck, and the only reason the yankees are still in the race is because they have a loaded team, dont be so proud of them
