Being gay is wrong... (I don't think so!)?

I completely disagree with this statement. I have been reading posts about being gay, and many people have posted that they think that as the bible says is it wrong, then it is not right to be gay.

What I say is that nobody should force their opinions on other people. Gay people are rarely harming the homophobic people. In most countries it is perfectly legal to be gay and participate in gay activities.

THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE POSTING NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT GAY PEOPLE TAKE A STEP BACK AND DEAL WITH YOUR OWN LIVES INSTEAD OF ATTACKING OTHERS!

Honey, I agree with you 200%. Don't let stupid comments like that first jackass wrote upset you. They got some **** they got to deal with, so folks like them don't matter. We need more folks like you and others that will take a stand and not tolerate anymore hatred for us here in the LGBT community. When we come together(no matter who or what you are..God loves ya, baby!)and take on the bigots, they run like roaches! Be you and stay wonderful!

I'll be honest: I've seen some of the stuff the preachers tell people, and if I believed half of it I wouldn't like us much either. I think there's mostly a lot of people who trust their leaders. As for why said leaders feel so threatened...I never understood the concept of wanting everyone else to believe the same thing you do. Most issues have little to no impact on the lives of straight people: I never could understand how anyone would care enough to be against these issues.

My best friend(boy) is gay. I see nothing wrong in it. He is very devoted and so cute! He always looks perfect(good hairstyle and modern clothes, perfume) and tells really clever thoughts and jokes. I can ask an advise when i need, sometimes i advise and help him. He is 18 and had a lot of guys with whom had sex. Doesn`t matter gay or not, matters the heart and the brain. I love my friend a lot but he is seemed to be very hard in nowadays life, at university and boys don`t want even to speak to him. Some people who don`t understand gays and lesbians are not very clever i think..

I agree like most gays we get tired of the negative comments that are directed to us because we are gay.

I am gay man who works and pays taxes.
Volunteer in the community.
Yes I enjoy sex but am not engaged in sexual activity 24/7.
Have friends both straight and gay.
Get tired of Bible thumpers who claim they know right from wrong and being gay is a sin.

Unfortunately you are going to keep receiving answers like the very first one. Why? Because they don't WANT to deal with their own issues. Because it's much easier to point out supposed sin and immorality rather than seeing your own.

So instead of looking in the mirror, they hold the mirror up to everyone else. It's just a tactic they use to deflect any negative comments on themselves.

Instead of judging us based on whom we love and sleep with, why not judge us on the total content of our character? I don't judge my next door neighbor because she has a constant string of men over that she sleeps with and has no committed relationship to. Why? Because she works hard at her job, pays her bills, donates to charity, takes excellent care of her elderly mother and is always there when you need a hand. It doesn't matter to me who she loves and/or sleeps with. It does not comprise her total self.

You're asking folks who don't know how to love or respect to suddenly turn around and do it. I wish it could happen too, but it's going to be an uphill climb.

the passage that says man shall not lay with man blah blah blah also states some interesting social rules that may or may not be applicable today:
*Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and

*I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her
period of menstrual uncleanness - Lev.15: 19-24.
*eating shellfish is an
abomination - Lev. 11:10
*Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair
around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev.
19:27(all the heavy hittin conservatives quotin the lev passage)
*I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me
unclean (hello football???)

I think they need to all just step back and clean up their own houses. How many fornicators are here condemning us for one act that a few homosexuals do? Or how many adulterers are bashing gays for something that their preacher has told them? Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Now, to all the people who quote the bible and think homosexuality is a disease:

God loves everybody, correct? God hates no one, correct? God has a plan for everybody, correct? God creates all diseases and gives them to those he has a plan for, correct?

Now, if homosexuality is a disease given to by God and God loves everyone, then God does not hate gays. He can't by your own belief.
