Because they obviously didn't know and wanted our help. You have no idea how old some of these people are so maybe they just hadn't learned whatever they asked yet. Like if they ask a question about how to lose weight or something, maybe they're only 11 and hadn't had a real good health class yet to teach them, but to someone that's 20 or 21 and has had plenty of health classes, it's seems obvious. So they turn to Yahoo Answers for help. If you think their question is dumb, just go to the next question and forget about it. There's no obligation to answer that question.
By the way, depending what one was doing during foreplay, it IS possible to get pregnant, so that would have not been a stupid question at all. You'd be surprised what type of things people don't know about pregnancy and STDs. What if they go to a Catholic school which doesn't even HAVE sex ed and their parents haven't given them the birds and the bees talk yet. Can you still expect them to know stuff like that? It's not like that kind of knowledge just falls out of the air, you need to learn it SOMEHOW. So you shouldn't be insulting them, you should be helping them. And if you're not trying to help, then you are on Yahoo for the wrong reasons.
BUT if someone is asking a question like, "why is Alaska so far away," or "why is Canada the dumbest state" or something like that, then that's just a pointless question that has no real answer and/or isn't even correct, then they shouldn't have asked. Yahoo should provide an anonymous "cyber-slap" or something. But if it's just something that someone could honestly not know, then just help them out or skip the question. It can be so annoying and hurtful to ask a serious question and then have 30 people jump on you telling you you're stupid. Put yourself in their shoes for a second. Say you go to a new mall or something and you're looking for a certain store. You haven't been there before and can't find it, so you ask someone. They turn around and tell you "you're so fukkin stupid, it's right behind you, why don't you look on a map befpre you ask". How would you feel? You honestly missed it as you walked up and didn't see it, you'd never been to that mall before. So wouldn't you feel hurt by that person's statement? Wouldn't you have prefered that they just say "Oh yea, it's right behind you, you must have walked up from the other direction and missed it"? I know I sure would have. They don't know that I hadn't been there before and shouldn't treat me like I'm an idiot.
So think about the question and what situation the person might be in before determining if it's a dumb question.

The questions may seem stupid, only because you know the answer...the only ones I find particular stupid are the crude/vulgar (filthy) ones posted just to see what they can stir up...
I'd rather see the silly "can you get pregnant by..." questions asked, and answered intelligently than having those kids out there assuming things that aren't true and getting into predicaments they are not prepared to handle...

Tara although there are some questions on this forum that are from sincere and legitimate people, there are those people out there that apparently have nothing else better to do but to ask rather stupid and sometimes appalling questions just to get a rise out of other people, but that is what you get from and open forum such as this. its probably better just to skip those that aren't legit and move on..... so as not to get yourself all flustered. besides your not going to be able to cure ignorance and stupidity on this forum, because from what i see it runs rampant.............Remember Stupid is as Stupid Does.....some people will just be that way.

No. Even I think so. People are not using this great beginning by yahoo for constructive thing. We cannnot avoid it too. Only thing what we can do is ignoring, merely ignore it.
Now dont consider my answer as stupid..
This is not an answer anyway, just my point of view or a statement. thank you
