I fell misrable. My boss is a horrible person. He insults people who are working under his authority because he knows they cannot quit. Lately he wanted to punish me for a silly mistake. I went to his office to apologize. I hate what I did. He likes others to be weak so that he feels better. He even likes to see them cry. I played the role of the weak person so that he will not punish me, I humiliated my self. God, I hate what I did, but I had to. I feel terrible now. What should I do?
N.B: Everyword I said is true.

Having been there before, I have to agree with the trend and say quit. You can't file a lawsuit against someone for being a jerk, and even if you could it would be costly. The other downside of legal action is that it would mark you in the employment world as someone who sues their boss. Not a pretty thing for firms to see if they do a background check. Use legal action only when there is a clear legal problem AND you have solid proof.

What I did was to find a new job FIRST and then quit. I'm sorry that it ended up this way for you but I hope it works out for the best.

Good luck, the guy sounds awful.

Your boss sounds unbearable. I know it's easier said than done, but if I were you, I'd quit and find another job. No one should have to put up with that. My boss is a nice guy, but his father is just like the man you described. I avoid him at all costs, because he's such a miserable, vicious person. He's caused a lot of people to quit. If you can't find another job, then I suggest you stay out of his way as much as possible.

I wish there was something more I could for you. I really do. Just be strong and don't let him get to you.

Before you quit find another job, then let the work stack up. When he says something stupid, tell him to do it himself, then walk out. He sounds like an asshole so he is probably going to give you a hard time about your last check anyways. Be ready to see a lawyer.

Get out of there soon. I would start posting your resume on monster.com or dice.com. This will only get worse as the years go on!

Kinda want to know what you did...

Find another job. Even if your current position pays minimum wage, find another min wage job then quit.
