I guess you'd have to understand cricket to be able to solve this one.

However, most of us Colonials haven't the foggiest idea about the game. So no answer here, dearie. So sorry.

The first hit the ball & ran a 2. The fielder threw the ball toward the wicket but it proved an overthrow which went for a four. The First Batsman's score is now 100, a century.

The second batsman who faced the next ball, scored a six to make his 100 runs.

The game was won because they've scored 12 runs in the last two balls(5 runs more than they required for a win).

The 1st one ran three and then there was an overthrow. The team might have won because of 7 but umpire detected a short run. So the team got 6 and 1st player reached 100. But because they ran 3 second player faced the ball and he hit a straight 6.

One Batsman would have taken 3 runs for the overthrow and other batsman would have taken 6 runs at the second ball.
