I started to write out all of my favorite romantic songs, to give you a woman's perspective, but there were a lot...I'll highlight, but below is a great website with all songs from a - z
Breathe - Faith Hill
Do you want to know a secret - The Beatles
Amazed - Lonestar
Frank Sinatra (basically anything, but what stands out:) Fly me to the Moon, IT HAD TO BE YOU, Embraceable you
Journey - Faithfully, (or) Open Arms
Foreigner: I've been waiting for a Girl Like you
Lifehouse - Hanging by a moment here with you
Bryan Adams - Everything I do, I do for you
Fine Young Cannibals- She Drives me Crazy
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life? - Anne Murrey
And there's a lot more, but personally I think you'll be overwhelmed with another 200 choices and I think these are pretty good picks... And then for the wedding dance? What a Wonderful WOrld- Louis Armstrong, Just the two of us - Bill Withers - Crazy for you - Madonna, All I ask of you - Phantom of the Opera, Seasons of Love - "Rent" or 1,000 sweet kisses - RENT (I'll cover you)
Good luck! This is really sweet of you!, you'll have to print all your answers out so she can see how much effort you put into this. But delete my last comment if you do, so she'll think it was your idea!

You didn't specify from the current pop charts ... so here's a list you will NOT get from anyone else:
The most beautiful love song I have ever heard is "Je Crois Entendre Encore," from Georges Bizet's opera, "The Pearlfishers." The version by Nicolai Gedda is gorgeous.
Another hauntingly beautiful song to consider is from the Broadway musical, "Brigadoon" - "Come to me, Bend to me." This show is almost forgotten today, but that song is wonderful.
One of my favorites to sing - it ALWAYS worked! - is "Some Enchanted Evening" from "South Pacific." Another very beautiful love song from that show is "Younger Than Springtime."
A Broadway show with more multiple choices is "Camelot" - "How to Handle a Woman," "If Ever I would Leave You," and by a female, "I loved You Once in Silence."
And who doesn't melt at the knockout love song from "A Chorus Line," "What I Did for Love."
A real chart-topper from around 1946 is Eden Abba's terrific theme piece for that (not so) famous film about war orphans, "The Boy With Green Hair." The song is "Nature Boy," and ends on an unresolved minor with the words, "the greatest thing you'll ever do, is just to love, and be loved, in return ...."
Finally, there is a beautiful love song from a very old Broadway show - "Very Warm for May" by George Gershwin in the1930's - "Just the Way You Look Tonight."
You'll get many, many more suggestions, from much more recent theater as well as pop charts. THESE are REAL "golden oldies"!
Good luck!

Nights in White Satan by the Moody Blues, or Celine Dion singing that Titanic song, My Heart Will Go On, or something like that. Then if you can find a CD put out by either in Italian singer, or a Mexican ballad singer....or a French singer...they can be singing about bugs and it still sounds romantic.
