ABC wasn't willing to fund a show that was losing money and viewership. Therefore they let the Monday Night game go to ESPN (a part of the Disney/ABC family) and the Sunday night football game will go to NBC, making it the new night for PrimeTime Football.

Their contract was up with ABC and ESPN bought them out. The ratings were fine, but the estimated increase of coverage with ESPN, plus the added incentive of more cash made it the better option for MNF. ABC is getting Sundays though so it's not a complete loss.

Because ABC who owns ESPN decided to move it to ESPN. They felt that by moving to that network it would allow them to still capture that segment of the viewing audience while allowing ABC to compete against the other networks and capture the other market segments that don't watch Football. In other words, if you don't watch Monday Night Football you will turn to another network and it would not have been ESPN, so in reality they were hurting themselves. However by putting it on ESPN they still capture that audience and now have the ability to put on programing that will attract the none football viewer. Make sense?

I dont get it the two. Who places the Jags in 2 MNF video games heavily?! The Rams are in distinctive video games to boot. Who needs to make certain Rams & Seahawks next Mon. There are lots greater effective innovations accessible like manhattan Giants & Dallas Cowboys. Thats continuously an severe contention. We knew from the get circulate that Rams and Seahawks might have not something to play for late interior the season. SNF have been given this journey up! they desire a minimum of certainly one of the two Ravens & Steelers video games on MNF each year. There weren't quite any super contention video games on MNF this year.
