Limewire, Kazaa...?

Question

if i download one of these and i only download popular music, will i still get trojans, adware, spyware, etc? i have a Mac Powerbook if that helps, but i believe that its what you download and not the actual filesharing network? Help, Thanks

LIMEWIRE IS THE WAY TO GO DONT DOWNLOAD KAZAA its fulll of crap that is terrably hard to get off your computer! only download lime wire from www.limewire.com dont download it from anywere else i would warn you about downloading programs off limewire becuz i have had acouple programs i have downloaded have just been monsterous virus's BUT LIMEWIRE IS the way to go dont download anythig other then limewire to download moviues and music!

First off, nobody makes viruses for MACs. They just don't.

Anything "Kazaa" is deadly. I can't remember hearing anything bad about Limewire, but I prefer Soulseek. It allows you to download entire folders, not just single files, from people. You get consistant quality, because they ripped each song the same, and you get the convenience of only having to click twice to download an album.... or even someone's entire collection.

I'm also a fan of bit torrent programs, such as Azureus, which I would prefer to use for downloading large files, such as movies and TV shows.

It's perfectly clean and though good for finding really rare and hard to find items, it's is extremely easy to find abundant popular music.

Kazaa is horrible, and full of pop-ups and spyware in the program. (This is what happens when free P2P programs switch to legality, they try to make their money from these horrible things.) Use Limewire while you still can, though be aware that it, too, will be eventually gone after and changed over.
