my urine gets that way when I have a urinary tract infection...maybe have then drink cranberry juice and continue with lots of water...if it doesn't clear soon, I would have your doctor look at a specimen....good luck!

is it also a very dark colour? if so, it most prob is a need for more water. It could also be due to something in their diet or possibly an infection but it would be unusual for both girls to have this sort of infection together. As previously suggested your best option is to check with your gp just in case, especially with young ones.

it could be an infection. They need to get tested for uti; doctor will determine the cause---urine is not suppose to smell strong but has a surgery smell to it.

Look at what you're feeding them. Any strong flavoured foods can "carry through" to your urine. If that's not answered it see a doctor to eliminate infections.

It's often caused by too much iron in your diet. If you eat lots of spinach and asparagus etc. your wee smells err... quite strong.

give them lots and lots of water,, no pop,, i know alot of parents give soda to their children and i think that is a no no! especially that young,, thats why so many kids have rotten teeth! to tea and no pop and try some cranberry juice if they like that! if they do not drink pop or tea,, then take them to a dr,, if they do drink that stuff take it away from them and only give them water!

How about their diet?Some foods can cause smelly urine.How about a urine analysis just to be sure?

It could be due to baths, esp if they take bubble baths. I would call the pediatrician.
