talk to local ranchers, see if they have any foals for sale... if you have a riding arena check there, they usually have posters up of horses for sale.. if you can afford transportation, i'd look on the web for ranches with colts that could transport them down to you. good luck!

If you have a place to keep it and a way to move it there, you can adopt a wild horse or burro from the federal Bureau of Land Management for $125-$160. Because of the way the animals are rounded up, many of them are pregnant females or young colts/fillies. And while the pregnant mother may be wild, the baby born to that mother will be born as tame as your treat it. Remember, buying or adopting the horse will be the least of your expenses. You still have to care for your colt after that.

I would go to amce or acme one of the two and look there, they have hundreds of horses.
