everytime I go to a lesbian club the black women always want a white girl. When I go look at personal ads they only want to date every other race except their own. And plus they always have to say they are "light skinned" and make a big deal when they describe themselves in personal ads. What is up with that? are they ashamed of their race

Where do you live? Where I live the black lesbians are incredibly insular and only date other lesbians of color. When a black lesbian friend of mine dated a white girl she lost a lot of black lesbian friends.
And I think that light skinned is just a descriptor. I'm white and I have very very fair skin (I have two colors, pasty and sunburnt), so if I was making a personal ad I might put that in there.

Different strokes for different folks.
Saying that 'all black lesbians' do any one thing is just as bad as saying that 'all gay people' do a certain thing.
Some black lesbians date within race and some don't; most don't care one way or the other if they are compatible with the person.

I am a black lesbian and I have absolutely no desire to date a white girl. I love black women. Black women are the most beautiful, sexy, intellectual, multitalented race of women I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I have dated white women, Latinas, Asians, and American Indian women but not one of them could EVER measure up to a black woman.

not every black lesbian only dates girls outside of their race......i know a LOT that only date black girls......as for the light skinned thing....in the african american society being light skinned is seen as being more beautiful then being dark skinned......look at micheal jackson....a lot of celebrity's lighten their skin, like beyonce, micheal jackson, etc.......but it also depends on where you live, what kinda people u grew up around, etc.

maybe you've only seen one black lezbo. i'm multi culti and have dated some of every race. open your eyes girl and grow up. people date people and the races don't matter. race is becoming obsolete anyway. we're all going brown.
