im looking for a good movie to watch that filipino or asian? i don't really matter if its drama or comedy or anything as long as it a good movie in general

A great movie that came out a few years ago is "The Debut", and I think their website "debutfilm.com" is still up. In any event, it effectively portrays the whole self-hating self-denial of a young filipino man who later comes to terms with his culture and all the beautiful things it has to offer. I highly recommend it. It also passes through the generations, as it has the Basco brothers in it for the younger crowd, and the elder actors and actresses are all well known in the Philippines. I don't want to give too much of it away, but almost every filipino I've recommended it to has loved it and related to some aspect of at least one character in the film.

Try the horror flick "Sigaw" also known as "The Echo". Absolutely scared and drew me in the whole length of the movie. Not your run of the mill lameness from most Filipino productions.

i agree with RobbyO, you should try to watch "The Debut", it's about Filipinos living in the US. You might also want to watch American Adobo and Rizal (starring Cesar Montano).

any tagalog films will do, but buy in original not in pirated okay, you will help a lot of filipinos by buying original ones.
