you should shave right out of the shower...the steam helps open up your hair follicles..then use a rich sensitive skin shaving cream or gel, make sure you razor is sharp (you should change it after 5-6 shaves) shave slowly and in the direction your hair grows (sometimes this works better then against the grain of your hair when you have sensitive skin)....don't press too hard against your skin with the razor...when you are done, make sure you rinse off your face well...then use some after-shave lotion (my boyfriend uses the neutragena one for men, sensitive skin) this should help at little at least! good luck

leave the face scrub until the end of the day or when your washing but not when your about to shave. shave with the grain of your hair and not against it, only go against it after with an electric if you have one. before you use the post shave balm, wash face with cold water then after you use shave balm use aftershave. wait 5 minutes then moisturise.

Not shaving would be the short answer, but that's not an option I guess?

Have you tried electric? U can pick up a decent one for about £30 on ebay.

And the old advice does work - go with the grain not against it.

You may think your getting a closer shave but your not.

You could try King of Shaves shaving oil, you can get it a Boots if you are in the UK, and it wont dry your skin and stops shaving spots in their tracks!

My Boyfriend has the same problem because he has sensitive skin, I bought him 'lynx aftershave balm' and he hasn't had the problem since. Alternatively my brother in law uses 'Nivia sensitive balm' which works for him. I hope that has been of some help to you.

Shave in the direction the hairs are pointing. possibly use a slightly blunt razor and don't go over the area again and again.

Try shaving GEL for sensitive skin . Dont use a scrub too often.

You shouldn't use too much crap, it makes things worse.

Dont try electric ... they really f*** up the skin.

maybe the stuff you are applying post-shave is irritating your skin? have you tried a different shaving foam? how about a shaving oil?
