According the the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department report, he said:
"F u c k i n g Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world."
Gibson also asked one of the deputy's, "Are you a Jew?"

Gibson said that its the jews that cause all the wars, and to f the jews. He then asked the cop if he was a jew. The passion of the christ was a controversy because it was kind of anti-jewish movie. That is why hollywood is shocked today of such "intolerance". There is an agent that is going around telling all big directors to boycott gibson- to stop giving him films and stuff. Gibson did apologize though. Every one is just on him, because they need someone new to bother, blame, and criticize on every move. It's so stupid. He does kind of have a point, history wise. However, when you are drunk you say things that have no correlation what so ever with what you think. Some guy at the bar might have started this conversation and it might have been stuck in his head. If someone said that all wars are started by muslims no one would make this a big deal-because of all this crap. The israel vs. lebanon deal might have struck home with Gibson or something. There are millions of possibilities. I mean i read some of these posts on Yahoo answers and someone said that when you are drunk you say things you mean and do things you mean. Bluff! So you mean that all of those men who got a girl pregnated while drunk on a one night stand really meant it! LOL.

Honestly... the media is just smearing Mel gibson..... there are two copies of the police report, one found by the media on the roadside where he was arrested, one that the police have and are saying they will release. the one the media found contained anti-semetic messages, the one to be released to the press by the police, does not.... personally, mel was drunk he probably said A LOT of things he didnt mean... but that is how american medai functions...

I don't think anyone other than Gibson himself and the police officer(s) that were present really know.
As for people who think the movie he made was anti-Semitic.... If that movie was anti-Semitic then so are the old and new testaments. Both testaments describe the Crucifixion in detail. This would then dictate that the Jews themselves are anti-Semitic since they believe in the old testament. The argument has no basis in reality and makes no sense. Christians are typically pro-Semitic despite their differences in belief pertaining to whether or not the son of God was born in the flesh.

A few websites have quoted him as saying that "Jews are responsible for all the world's wars".
Now he's claiming that he is not a "bigot". Yeah right.
